We welcome the Terrell community and surrounding area to meet him at our Open House reception on Wednesday, March 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Importance of an In-house Doctor in a Health Care Community.
We recognize how important it is to have an on-site medical director. It’s so rewarding to our residents that our doctor makes house calls! Residents here can schedule convenient appointments with him in their own residences.

In addition, it’s invaluable to have Dr. Arze available in case of medical emergencies here at Windsor. As residents age, they may become more frail and need more health care assistance than before. The New York Times reported most assisted living facilities have no doctors on-site or on call. In addition, only about half have nurses on staff or on call. If a health issue should occur, it may result in a trip to an outside doctor or, in too many cases, an ambulance ride, perhaps followed by a hospital stay.

Certifications & Licensure.
Dr. Arze began his career as an emergency medical technician in the Emergency Department at Baylor University Medical Center. He then started medical school at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, as an American Heart Association research fellow, graduating with research honors. He completed his specialty training in Emergency Medicine at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2003, and he is a fellow of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, certified in Emergency Medicine and holds a Texas State Medical License.
